Retreat Agenda:
AM: Realigning Mind & Body
Coffee & Connect: We'll begin the day with an opportunity to network with other participants over coffee and light refreshments.
Welcome & "Realign and Recharge Your Goals" Workshop by Randi Braun: As working mothers, we are quick to prioritize the needs of others, which is why this workshop is dedicated to redesigning your personal and professional goals for the year ahead. Previewing new content from Braun's forthcoming book, Something Major: The New Playbook for Women at Work, participants will: (a) learn the most common "avoiding-our-goals-traps" that working moms fall into, (b) participate in exercises to clarify their goals as a working mother in 2023, and (c) walk away with their own game plan for mapping their priorities accordingly in the year ahead.
Nourishing Vinyasa Flow Yoga: After realigning our minds, we’ll realign our body with a nourishing vinyasa flow yoga class. This class is suitable for all levels.
PM: Recharging Our Spirit
Lunch & Wine: To recharge our spirits, following yoga we’ll sit down for a delicious lunch, accompanied by wine.
G ourmet Hot Chocolate Tasting: We'll sample gourmet hot chocolates from the woman-owned business, Taste of December (with gluten-free and dairy-free options available).
Completion Exercise & Closing Remarks: We'll end the day with a final group exercise to lock in our learning from the day and kickstart our goals, followed by closing remarks from Braun.
Attire: Keeping it casual and relaxed, leggings/yoga clothes are required. Ponytails are not required, but strongly encouraged.
Cost:
Standard Registration: $995/person
Work Wives Discount: Registration is reduced to $950/person when you sign up with a work wife. Past retreats have featured mentor/mentee pairs, bosses and their HI-PO, girlfriends, and even sisters.
Pro Tip #1 - Ask Your Employer to Sponsor Your Seat: While half of our attendees self-sponsor, about 50% of our previous participants had their employer sponsor their participation as a leadership development and/or networking experience. Reach out for a copy of our Business Case Kit if you’re interested in learning more about how your employer might sponsor your participation as a leadership development and/or networking experience (randi@somethingmajorcoaching.com or faleign@somethingmajorcoaching.com).
Pro Tip # 2 - Reduced Rate for Overnighting at The Ritz: For those coming from out of town, or for local Washingtonians who are looking for a reason to indulge, we have a room block available at the extremely discounted rate of $499/night for both Thursday, Feb 2nd and Friday, Feb 3rd. Rooms are first-come-first-served and must be booked after registration is completed. So, if you know you plan to overnight, please email randi@somethingmajorcoaching.com or faleign@somethingmajorcoaching.com as soon as you register. Of course, overnighting at The Ritz is 100% optional.
